Looking for something fun and active for your child on those no-school days? Northborough Recreation is excited to offer Holiday Breakout — a full-day program packed with energy, creativity, and connection, all led by the amazing summer camp staff your kids know and love.
From 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, children will rotate through a variety of engaging activities designed to keep them moving, thinking, and having a blast in a safe and supportive environment. We’ll be using the Town Hall gym, Recreation Room, and playground, giving kids plenty of space to explore and unwind.
A typical day may include:
Gym Games & Team Challenges – Dodgeball, kickball, parachute games, relays, capture the flag, and more.
Arts & Crafts – Themed projects using paint, clay, recycled materials, and seasonal crafts to spark creativity.
STEM & Brain Boosters – Simple science experiments, building challenges, puzzles, and hands-on group activities.
Rec Room Fun – Board games, Legos, building stations, and group games like Heads Up and charades.
Outdoor Play – Fresh air fun on the playground, scavenger hunts, sidewalk chalk, and active games (weather permitting).
Special Extras – Talent shows, dance parties, trivia competitions, and fun surprises throughout the day!
Children will be grouped by age for appropriate activities and will have time to eat lunch, socialize, and unwind between blocks of active programming.
