This special Tinkergarten class series is designed to help kids and families connect to nature and weave nature into their celebrations during this special time of year.

Join us this November and December for delightful, play-based outdoor lessons centered around gratitude, giving and joy – universal themes during the holiday season.

Week 1- Holiday Feast: In our first class, we will share and celebrate special traditions of our families as we cook a pretend feast just like the ones so many of us share with family and friends during the holiday season. We will also create a "Thankful Tree" together to express the gratitude we feel for all that we share.

Week 2 - Around and Around: In our second class, we will offer sweet ways to use circles, spirals and all things round to spark JOY in ourselves, spread winter joy to family and friends and help kids connect with the natural world. Each child will create a nature wreath and pomander to take home!

Week 3 - Giving Gifts: In our third class, we will explore ways to help kids imagine, create and give the gift of nature and outdoor adventures to the people we love! Each child will create a nature-themed gift to take home for a friend or loved one!

Week 4 - Celebrate with Light: In our final holiday season class, we will learn about how we can use light to brighten up the darkness that comes as we approach the winter solstice and add extra joy to our celebrations. Each child will create a beeswax candle and a mason jar lantern to take home!

This winter in our Tinkergarten classes, we will foster kids’ problem-solving skills. Kids will wonder, observe, experiment, and work together—all while developing problem-solving mindsets and learning that it’s fun and healthy to get outdoors all 4 seasons!
