What is Tinkergarten?
Designed and led by experts, loved by parents and kids, Tinkergarten gets kids ages 1 1/2 to 6 learning outside. Children who participate in the Tinkergarten program get the physical and mental benefits of increased time outdoors and build a lasting connection to nature. Our classes include songs, movement, stories, and irresistible invitations for open-ended play!
The Tinkergarten Nature Play program is led by Jenna Kyes, a longtime educator and mom of four. Jenna has years of experience teaching Tinkergarten, and she loves sharing the joy and wonder of playful outdoor learning with children and their caregivers.
Winter 2026 Tinkergarten:
Come play and learn outside with us this winter! Tinkergarten Nature Play classes are joyful outdoor classes that incorporate songs, movement, stories and open-ended play to help children learn important life skills. This season, we focus on PERSISTENCE— the ability to stick with something, meet challenges and push ahead in order to reach our goals, learn and grow. Each lesson is inspired by a different, persistent animal superhero.
In this class series, we'll introduce creatures with amazing abilities to survive the winter and discover that we, like our creature friends, have tools to help us thrive and play outdoors all 4 seasons. We'll also have fun playing like creatures who build and create. And, as in every season, kids will forge deep, lasting connections to the natural world!
Age group: 1.5-6 years with a parent or caregiver
