Here at The Shrewsbury Club, we believe swimming is an essential skill for everyone to learn; kids and adults alike. It creates opportunities to participate safely in a wide variety of fitness and recreational opportunities.
Parent Child Swim
- Accompanied by a parent or guardian, infants and toddlers learn to be comfortable in the water and develop swim readiness skills through fun and confidence-building experiences.
- Parents learn about water safety, drowning prevention, and the importance of supervision. (Children aged 2-4)
Swim Level 1 (ages 3 and up)
Introduction to Water Skills
- For the beginner who is comfortable in the water.
- Swimmers learn the basics of swimming.
Swim Level 2 (ages 3 and up)
Fundamental Aquatics Skill
- Swimmers should already be able to float on their back and put their head under water.
Swimmers will work on: independent back floating , independent front and back strokes, front crawl arms and kicks, back crawl arms and kicks, retrieving underwater objects, and jumping into water over their head.
Swim Level 3 (ages 3 and up)
Fundamental Aquatics Skill
