Pickleball Lessons - Summer: Sundays Intermediate Beginner:Players new or nearly new to the game of pickleball. The class will center on basic technical aspects of successfully playing the game of pickleball. In addition to rules of play, focus will include techniques for effective forehand shots, backhand shots, dinks, drops, serves, and return of serves. The class will also cover the more tactical skills of court positioning, transitions to non-volley zone, and non-volley zone play. The goal of the class is to give players the skills needed to reach the 2.5-player level. Advanced Beginner:Players who have completed a Beginner 1 pickleball course or have equivalent skills. The class will center on both the technical and tactical skills needed to advance from a 2.5 to a 3.0 player. Pickleball Women's 3.5 Level Ladder League - Sundays Summer Session Women's Only Pickleball Competitive League Individual round-robin league, NO partners needed. Players will play a minimum of six games each week in a round-robin format with different partners. Game match ups will be published on the morning of game play. Each week, players will be individually ranked according to games won and points scored. The ultimate goal is to climb the ladder to the highest rung while having FUN, COMPETITIVE play each week. Awards will be given end of the league for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners. Participants must compete in at least 50% of the games possible to medal. Google sheets will be used to track play availability, game match ups, weekly results, and league rankings. NOTE: This league is NOT for players below the 3.5 skill level NOT above the 3.75 still level.
Northborough Recreation reserves the right to move a player to a league with a more similar skill level to ensure league parity. If you have any questions about the player skill levels, please refer to the document below or contact the League Director for clarification.
