SPEND THE SUMMER WITH NORTHBOROUGH RECREATION!For Grades K - Grade 8 Our enthusiastic and creative counselors will engage your kids in a variety of fun activities throughout the summer.  Every day is a new adventure; sports, games, water play, crafts, science and cooking projects, playground fun, and more!  Kids are placed in groups by grade and planned activities are safe and age appropriate.  Older kids enjoy separate fun from younger children.  The program runs from 8am - 5pm. Program dates are:Week 1: July 5 - 8th (Monday is a holiday) Carnival week No field tripWeek 2: July 11 - 15 Optional Field Trip to Six Flags Amusement ParkWeek 3: July 18 - 22 Optional Field Trip to Kimball FarmsWeek 4: July 25 - 29 Optional Field Trip to Water WhizWeek 5: Aug. 1 - 5 (No field trip, Field Day)Week 6: Aug. 8 - 12 Optional Field Trip to Canobie Lake ParkWeek 7: Aug. 15 - 19 Optional Field Trip to Six Flags Water ParkChanges from last year:-We are no longer taking preschool kids.-All 7 weeks of the Summer Rec Program will be held at the Lincoln St. Elementary School.-Field Trips are back! We will have microwaves available to heat up lunches this year.-May 2 - June 1st you can cancel with a $10/week cancellation fee.

6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Yoga - Outdoor Yoga Tuesdays - 6-7pm
Join me for a yoga practice that is open to all levels.  We will practice gentle, flow Hatha yoga with a focus on correct and safe postures.  Classes will offer you the ability to allow yoga to fit your body  so that you can enjoy all the benefits yoga can offer-relaxation for your mind and body, building increased balance and flexibility all while creating a supportive community.  Being flexible is not a requirement!This FREE yoga class brought to you by Be Well Northborough. Be Well Northborough is a collaborative health and wellness initiative aimed at helping our community recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.  We are focused on curating new and existing health and wellness resources in our community through a shared community calendar and outreach activities with the goal of collaboratively engaging with the community to promote health and wellness.

Inclusive sport programming with Special Olympics is offered free of charge throughout the community to provide opportunity to athletes for their entire lives – not just in schools! Our youngest athlete right now is two, and our oldest is 79 – with some athletes competing in nine of our 23 sports throughout the year. There are about 150 local programs throughout the state, but listed are some of the programs close to Northborough and Southborough:  Marlborough Skills Center (age 13+ Track) and Young Athletes 2 (Age 6-12 Track and Tennis) – Marlborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Southborough Young Athletes (age 2-7) – Southborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Shrewsbury Parks and Rec – Shrewsbury, MA; Unified (for people with and without intellectual disabilities) and Traditional (for people with intellectual disabilities) teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, track and volleyball in the spring, bocce and golf in the summer, and soccer in the fall. Westborough Recreation – Westborough, MA; Unified basketball and soccer for ages 13-21 in the winter and fall, and swimming for ages 8+ in the spring. Seven Hills Family Services – Worcester, MA; Unified and Traditional sports teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, swimming in the spring, golf and softball in the summer, and soccer and flag football in the fall.  For more information on how to sign up for sports and find teams near you in the sport you love, please fill out this Interested Athlete Form. Inclusive sport programming with Special Olympics is offered free of charge throughout the community to provide opportunity to athletes for their entire lives – not just in schools! Our youngest athlete right now is two, and our oldest is 79 – with some athletes competing in nine of our 23 sports throughout the year. There are about 150 local programs throughout the state, but listed are some of the programs close to Northborough and Southborough:  Marlborough Skills Center (age 13+ Track) and Young Athletes 2 (Age 6-12 Track and Tennis) – Marlborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Southborough Young Athletes (age 2-7) – Southborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Shrewsbury Parks and Rec – Shrewsbury, MA; Unified (for people with and without intellectual disabilities) and Traditional (for people with intellectual disabilities) teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, track and volleyball in the spring, bocce and golf in the summer, and soccer in the fall. Westborough Recreation – Westborough, MA; Unified basketball and soccer for ages 13-21 in the winter and fall, and swimming for ages 8+ in the spring. Come join this very cool and fun elementary school summer program!   Over the past 25 years, Top Secret Science (www.TopSecretScience.org) has worked hands-on with over 1,200,000 local children.  Each day the kids will explore 20 weird and wacky hands-on science experiments and will make and take home all the projects.  The scientists are fast paced and funny and your kids will be thoroughly entertained (they’ll even learn some interesting things too).  We will explore weird motions and flying things, air and water pressure; crazy chemistry, light and sound, science magic, electricity, magnets, astronomy and more.  Be prepared for lots of fun stuff.  A wonderful 6 hours of science each day.  Hope to see you there!!

These summer clinics are open to all levels! While campers who are new to the sport get to try out each position, seasoned lacrosse players get individualized instruction in the tactics they need to be more successful on the field. Players of all ability levels pick up the finer points of offensive and defensive responsibilities, stick control, and safe body checking, while learning perseverance.

Inclusive sport programming with Special Olympics is offered free of charge throughout the community to provide opportunity to athletes for their entire lives – not just in schools! Our youngest athlete right now is two, and our oldest is 79 – with some athletes competing in nine of our 23 sports throughout the year. There are about 150 local programs throughout the state, but listed are some of the programs close to Northborough and Southborough:  Marlborough Skills Center (age 13+ Track) and Young Athletes 2 (Age 6-12 Track and Tennis) – Marlborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Southborough Young Athletes (age 2-7) – Southborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Shrewsbury Parks and Rec – Shrewsbury, MA; Unified (for people with and without intellectual disabilities) and Traditional (for people with intellectual disabilities) teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, track and volleyball in the spring, bocce and golf in the summer, and soccer in the fall. Westborough Recreation – Westborough, MA; Unified basketball and soccer for ages 13-21 in the winter and fall, and swimming for ages 8+ in the spring. Inclusive sport programming with Special Olympics is offered free of charge throughout the community to provide opportunity to athletes for their entire lives – not just in schools! Our youngest athlete right now is two, and our oldest is 79 – with some athletes competing in nine of our 23 sports throughout the year. There are about 150 local programs throughout the state, but listed are some of the programs close to Northborough and Southborough:  Marlborough Skills Center (age 13+ Track) and Young Athletes 2 (Age 6-12 Track and Tennis) – Marlborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Southborough Young Athletes (age 2-7) – Southborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Shrewsbury Parks and Rec – Shrewsbury, MA; Unified (for people with and without intellectual disabilities) and Traditional (for people with intellectual disabilities) teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, track and volleyball in the spring, bocce and golf in the summer, and soccer in the fall. Westborough Recreation – Westborough, MA; Unified basketball and soccer for ages 13-21 in the winter and fall, and swimming for ages 8+ in the spring. SPEND THE SUMMER WITH NORTHBOROUGH RECREATION!For Grades K - Grade 8 Our enthusiastic and creative counselors will engage your kids in a variety of fun activities throughout the summer.  Every day is a new adventure; sports, games, water play, crafts, science and cooking projects, playground fun, and more!  Kids are placed in groups by grade and planned activities are safe and age appropriate.  Older kids enjoy separate fun from younger children.  The program runs from 8am - 5pm. Program dates are:Week 1: July 5 - 8th (Monday is a holiday) Carnival week No field tripWeek 2: July 11 - 15 Optional Field Trip to Six Flags Amusement ParkWeek 3: July 18 - 22 Optional Field Trip to Kimball FarmsWeek 4: July 25 - 29 Optional Field Trip to Water WhizWeek 5: Aug. 1 - 5 (No field trip, Field Day)Week 6: Aug. 8 - 12 Optional Field Trip to Canobie Lake ParkWeek 7: Aug. 15 - 19 Optional Field Trip to Six Flags Water ParkChanges from last year:-We are no longer taking preschool kids.-All 7 weeks of the Summer Rec Program will be held at the Lincoln St. Elementary School.-Field Trips are back! (For grades 4 - 8) You pay for them separately if you want your child to go.-No lunches will be offered through the program. All kids will have to bring bagged lunches. We will have microwaves available to heat up lunches this year.-May 2 - June 1st you can cancel with a $10/week cancellation fee.

Inclusive sport programming with Special Olympics is offered free of charge throughout the community to provide opportunity to athletes for their entire lives – not just in schools! Our youngest athlete right now is two, and our oldest is 79 – with some athletes competing in nine of our 23 sports throughout the year. There are about 150 local programs throughout the state, but listed are some of the programs close to Northborough and Southborough:  Marlborough Skills Center (age 13+ Track) and Young Athletes 2 (Age 6-12 Track and Tennis) – Marlborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Southborough Young Athletes (age 2-7) – Southborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here. Shrewsbury Parks and Rec – Shrewsbury, MA; Unified (for people with and without intellectual disabilities) and Traditional (for people with intellectual disabilities) teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, track and volleyball in the spring, bocce and golf in the summer, and soccer in the fall. Westborough Recreation – Westborough, MA; Unified basketball and soccer for ages 13-21 in the winter and fall, and swimming for ages 8+ in the spring. Seven Hills Family Services – Worcester, MA; Unified and Traditional sports teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, swimming in the spring, golf and softball in the summer, and soccer and flag football in the fall.  For more information on how to sign up for sports and find teams near you in the sport you love, please fill out this Interested Athlete Form.
