Inclusive sport programming with Special Olympics is offered free of charge throughout the community to provide opportunity to athletes for their entire lives – not just in schools! Our youngest athlete right now is two, and our oldest is 79 – with some athletes competing in nine of our 23 sports throughout the year. There are about 150 local programs throughout the state, but listed are some of the programs close to Northborough and Southborough:
 




  • Marlborough Skills Center (age 13+ Track) and Young Athletes 2 (Age 6-12 Track and Tennis) – Marlborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here.


  • Southborough Young Athletes (age 2-7) – Southborough, MA; Athletes can sign up and learn more here.


  • Shrewsbury Parks and Rec – Shrewsbury, MA; Unified (for people with and without intellectual disabilities) and Traditional (for people with intellectual disabilities) teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, track and volleyball in the spring, bocce and golf in the summer, and soccer in the fall.


  • Westborough Recreation – Westborough, MA; Unified basketball and soccer for ages 13-21 in the winter and fall, and swimming for ages 8+ in the spring.


  • Seven Hills Family Services – Worcester, MA; Unified and Traditional sports teams for all ages in basketball in the winter, swimming in the spring, golf and softball in the summer, and soccer and flag football in the fall.
